I am from the American Midwest where work ethic, friendliness, etiquette, and loyalty remain strong values. I studied and graduated from the Media Arts and Animation program at the Illinois Institute of Art Schaumburg which is in the Chicago area.
After leaving Chicago, I worked one year freelance for a Midwestern video game company, Magic Lantern, where I performed services in low-poly modeling, texture art painting and modifications. Before the company decided to close, I was offered the position of Lead Artist.
In 2005, I moved to South Korea and worked in Asia for 6 years. There I taught language to all age groups, taught college level art and design, and continued to develop my personal art portfolio.
Since 2011, I have moved back to the United States with my Chinese wife, who is an outstanding artist, where we hope to make a successful fresh start.
Most recently I was a Professor of Computer Graphic Design in South Korea at Chungkang College of Cultural Industries, a nationally famous industrial arts college.
There I designed my own curriculum, including a Character Design class which was my most favorite class to teach. I focused on student creative self-development, free thinking skills, and work ethic while teaching core skills.
Chungkang College of Cultural Industries was founded in 1997 and supports 26 different departments that range from Fashion Design to Food Design and Sciences, Korean Traditional and Modern Ceramics to 3D Animation and Gaming.
The Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg, once known as the Ray-Vogue School, is affiliated with the Art Institutes in the United States and is the sister campus to the downtown Chicago campus with identical programming.
Magic Lantern, also known as Lantern Games, was a small-sized computer game company in the small midwestern town of Monmouth, Illinois.
